Owner, Publisher and Chief Executive Editor Dennis Vinkoert (1954) studied marine engineering at the Maritime Academy. After his seafaring period, he started an onshore career as market intelligence officer with the Netherlands Foundation for the Coordination of Maritime Research (CMO), in which period he followed an ample number of academic courses at the Delft University of Technology. He has published a large amount of articles in leading maritime journals with regard to R&D and Innovation in the maritime industry. He has received a prestigious award by the Royal Netherlands Society of Professionals in Shipping Technology for several of his contributions to maritime literature. Since the early eighties he has held a number of positions as Editor-in-Chief of several journals in the expert fields of business administration & management science, maintenance technology, drive and control technology, and marine technology.
Co-owner and Commercial Director Marco Geels (1976) is in charge of all the company’s Sales & Marketing activities, including public relations, advertising, special events and trade shows. He started his sales career in 1995 with his family owned steel pipe and tube trading company as sales and marketing engineer. Three years later he set up the sales and marketing department for a leading computer retail company in the Netherlands. After this project he started a new successful career as European sales manager for a Far East computer display manufacturer.
In charge of Financing & Operations Nathalie Vinkoert (1979) is part of the Board of Directors as well as co-owner of the publishing house. As CFO and Production Manager she is responsible for all financial affairs and human resources. Her responsibilities include: driving and motivating the publishing team in order to achieve all reporting and financial control requirements, examining gross margins with a view to increasing profitability, plus delving into all commercial aspects of the business in order to recommend and deliver tangible improvements. Her multipurpose functionality is emphasized by the fact that she also supports the editorial team as well as the sales department.
Robin Zander (1965) joined Yellow & Finch Publishers in November 2007 as Editor-in-Chief. Robin studied mechanical engineering with special emphasis on manufacturing and industrial automation. His career as a technical journalist and editor started in the early nineties. Over the years Robin held several editorial positions at various leading technical journals covering expert fields such as metal working and production and mechanical design and engineering. Previous to joining Yellow & Finch, he was Editor-in-Chief of the leading Dutch trade magazine ‘a&b’ covering all aspects of drive and control technology.

Leonieke Stolk
Maritime editor Leonieke Stolk (1986) is in charge of the business-to-business trade journal SuperYacht Industry, but also contributes to the companion trade journals ShipBuilding Industry and Offshore Industry. Literally raised on the water, she always had a ‘thing’ for shipbuilding and water. She holds a Bachelor degree and is experienced with projects in marketing communications and the water related leisure industry. With vast experience in marketing and communications - amongst others for her family-owned business of naval architecture - she is fully at home with both the shipbuilding and boating industry.
In charge of Sales & Marketing Herman Barkmeijer (1949) spearheads the company’s sales and marketing activities, including public relations, advertising, special events and trade shows since May 2007. Prior to joining Yellow & Finch, Herman was general manager of a recognized Dutch shipbuilding magazine for 23 years. Herman’s career began in 1969 with Europort Exhibitions where he subsequently was sales and exhibition manager and closely involved with the sales, congress and exhibition organization of this - at that time - largest international maritime exhibition in the world. After the take over by RAI Amsterdam he has been closely involved with the first Port & Inland Shipping Exhibition, later on known as Inland Shipping & Fishery Exhibition, and today known as Europort in Ahoy Rotterdam.
Vincent Vinkoert (1988) is media sales and account manager at Yellow & Finch Publishers. He is in charge of the publishing house’s portfolio of maritime Business-to-Business magazines, which include the annual Maritime Services Directory and the three trade journals ShipBuilding Industry, SuperYacht Industry and Offshore Industry. All journals target both the Dutch and international maritime industry. Prior to joining Yellow & Finch Publishers Vincent Vinkoert studied IT Media and has been account manager with Provicom Multimedia with various responsibilities in the field of webvertising and sales & marketing.
Artwork Director Nathalie Putman (1969) has joined the publishing team of Yellow & Finch Publisher on 1 November 2007. With a wealth of experience in the printing and publishing industry she is in charge of the graphical lay-out and the advertisements artwork of the publishing house’s high quality magazines. She also is a discerning yachtswoman owning her own sailing yacht. “Creating sparkling, glossy magazines gives me a great satisfaction, but in my leisure time I love being on my sailing boat navigating the waters of Zeeland.”

Laurien Bal
Laurien Bal (1974) is Y&F’s traffic manager and editorial assistant. She decribes the qualities needed for her job as follows: Must enjoy late-night hot-tubbing, chain-smoking, binge dessert eating, drinking hard alcohol, mixing margaritas and driving large cars in a reckless manner. Should be able to withstand frequent yelling and loud noises, unintelligible rantings, and handle firearms and exploding targets with ease. Curiosity about the limits of sleep deprivation helpful. Knowledge of housecleaning and faxing imperative. “That’s what someone should have told me before I accepted this job,” she ends with a twinkle in her eyes.

Trees Janssens
Trees Janssens (1960) is one of the driving forces behind Yellow & Finch Publishers’ sales and marketing team. Due to her vast experience in management science and business administration she has become one of the main pillars of Yellow & Finch Publishers. Trees, who is a discerning golf and tennis player, started her career as computer programming & systems engineer and has held several positions as information manager with a wide variety of business companies and authoritive bodies. After successful graduating for a Masters degree in Total Quality Management in 1993 she established her own management office specializing in Management Consultancy and Interim Management. In her new challenging function with Yellow & Finch Publishers she spearheads the Marketing & Sales team of Yellow & Finch Publishers where she is responsible for the full scope of printing, publishing and marketing services.

Anna-Louisa Alexander
Anna-Lousia Alexander (1956) is Yellow & Finch Publishers’ marketing executive. She is in charge of the publishing house’s PR & Marketing. Commercial director Marco Geels: ‘Anna-Louisa is a major assset to the PR & Marketing team as we continue to develop and work globally to enhance our information services to the specific branches of the maritime industry.’ Anna-Louisa adds: ‘It’s a challenge to be part of the company at a time of expansion for Y&F. Working for Netherlands’ leading maritime publishing house with three amazing professional trade journals to promote is an interesting challenge. As the company presses forward with new business initiatives, our teams are well positioned to deliver and support our ever-growing portfolio.”
