DNV Launches ECA Survival Kit

SeaEnergy Signs LOI with Ulstein

seaulsteinAt the Offshore Wind Conference 2010 in Liverpool, Scottish based SeaEnergy PLC signed a Letter of Intent with Ulstein Group to co-develop new service vessels for the offshore wind industry. SeaEnergy is planning vessels to perform both commissioning and maintenance works of wind turbines. GL Issues First EEDI Certificate

The EEDI certificate is issued in accordance with the voluntary EEDI guidelines, MEPC.1/Circ.681 and 682 of IMO. lngferryEarly last week, Fjord1 entered into a contract with Fiskerstrand BLRT AS to plan and construct the world’s largest gas-powered ferry. The new gas-powered ferry is designed by Multi Maritime AS in Førde and will have a total length of 129.9 m, a maximum width of 19.2 m and a capacity of 242 cars and/or 22 lorries in combination with cars. hrp200x2006 May 2010 witnessed the christening of jack-up platform Thor in the Port of Hamburg. Thor is one of the biggest jack-up platforms today, capable to install ofshore wind farms even in deepwaters up to 50 m. Thor is the second platform for its owner Hochtief. The unique advantages of the Thor are that the platform is capable of operating in water depths of up to 50 m and its maximum load bearing capacity of 3,300 tons.
