schottel_web1Schottel eases propeller configuration work by means of its online HydrA design software.  A customer can specify the propulsion system, number of propulsion units, input speed, input power, blade area ratio, propeller diameter, ship speed, wake fraction and thrust deduction fraction. A calculator then determines figures for the power and propeller data such as thrust, torque, pitch ratio or propeller load. (more…)
